Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you serve?

We offer thoughtfully designed sessions for ages 6-8 and 9-11, with projects and instruction tailored to each age group.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day blends aided instruction with tie for creative exploration.  Campers will draw inspiration from the weekly theme while building skills through observation, experimentation and hands-on art making.

All materials are provided, along with a daily snack and a camp t-shirt.  Every detail is taken care of so campers can fully focus on creating.

What is included in the cost of camp?
Do Campers need to bring anything?

Just a water bottle and clothes that can get a little messy-everything else is provided.

Are there field trips?

Our 9-11 sessions include thoughtfully selected field trips that connect directly to the weekly theme, offering real-world inspiration for their artwork.  Each week includes one themed field trip, with the remaining days spent in the studio.

What is the group size?

We keep our groups intentionally small to allow for individualized instruction and a supportive, studio-style environment.

Will my child bring artwork home?

Yes.  Campers will bring home a collection of their work at the end of the week to share and celebrate their creativity.

Is there an end-of-the-week showcase?

Our 6-8 campers will participate in a special artist showcase at the end of the week, giving families a chance to view and celebrate their work.

Does my child need prior art experience?

Not at all.  Whether your child is just beginning or already loves to create, projects are designed to meet them where they are and help them grow.

Camp takes place in our studio space at Social Medium.  It is located at 5311 Sunnyside Dr, Village of Clarkston, MI 48346.

Where is camp held?

If your plans change, we are happy to offer the following options:

14 or more days before camp: Full refund

7-13 days before camp: 50% refund

Less than 7 days before camp: Tuition is non-refundable

Whenever possible, we're glad to help you transfer your registration to another camp week (based on availability) with at least 7 days' notice.

Because our camps are small and materials are prepared in advance, missed days cannot be refunded or credited, including absences due to illness or scheduling conflicts.

If a camp session is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

We understand that plans change and will always do our best to offer flexibility when we are able to.
